Senior System Administrator
We are looking for a Senior Linux and Network Systems Administrator. Our ideal candidate will have mastery of Linux (esp Ubuntu) Systems Administration and LAN/WAN networking and and will have the know-how required to scale secure systems for a fast-growing tech company.
Responsibilities:
- Manage our network of over 150 Linux and (some) Windows servers across our locations and data centers
- Maintain office and production networks
- Windows and Linux patch management
- Manage routers and switches and firewalls and load balancers
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time, generally Monday - Friday
- Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends as needed
- Must be able to be on-call night and day to address issues
Compensation:
- $75 - $90K Annual Salary, DOE
- Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays

Required
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience with Linux Systems Administration and Networking
- Good knowledge of large-scale Internet service architectures such as load balancers and CDNs
- Detail oriented and careful
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Sharp and tenacious troubleshooting skills--you can fix anything!
- Server automation and integration beyond basic script and cron
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Perl, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise server hardware
- Debugging abilities with standard nix toolset
- Understanding of networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, SSL, DNS, SMTP, etc.)
- Configuration management (Puppet)
- Open source monitoring tools (Nagios)
- Host networking (OSI, 802.3AD, 802.1Q, bridging, etc.)
- Host storage, NAS, SAN (RAID, NFS, iSCSI, multipathing)
Bonus Qualifications and
Experience:
- Server security
- Cisco certifications
- Experience with Windows server installation and configuration
- Open source virtualization management (OpenStack, CloudStack, etc.)
- Programming / coding experience (PHP preferred)
- Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3, Route 53, etc.)
- Postgres
- Nagios
- FreeSwitch
