Summary:
Reputation is looking for a Manager to lead our data pipeline software engineering team. We need someone who is strong, energetic, highly collaborative and passionate about our people and the product. Manage engineers working on complex web applications technologies. Provide leadership and assure the teams to achieve product development goals that support business objectives. Create a transparent environment that maximizes team retention, job satisfaction, and a fun environment. Provide stakeholder visibility and clarity of the team's goals, progress, and accomplishments.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership to the team, Implement and maintain consistent engineering processes. Generate reports to track progress, identify slippages well in time for the stakeholders to act appropriately. Ensuring teams have clear priorities and adequate resources. Identify training needs and provide the support required while giving periodic feedback. Ensure that the team members adhere to time management while providing them the flexibility. Introduce & continuously improve the best practices in software development, methodologies and coding standards; institute change when necessary and appropriate. Promote and train engineers in engineering best practices. Reviews quality metrics and executes on remediation plans. Participate in the global management meetings. Work directly with Product Management to translate requirements into concrete implementation plans. Keeps the entire team and stakeholders up to date on the status, expectations, and direction for the activities being managed. Recognizes, addresses, and escalates impediments within the team. Occasionally contributing to development tasks, feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the technical product as well as to keep technical acumen sharp. Hire, mentor, and train leads. Create and monitor measurable quarterly objectives for Leads & teams. Create a culture of collaboration and excellence in work ethic. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field. Proficient in Golang or other compiled language. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies like AWS, GCP. Experience in Elasticsearch, k8s, RabbitMQ. Knowledge of software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, testing, and operations An up-to-date knowledge of software technologies. Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills is required. Ability to handle escalations and drive stakeholder communications and Management. Good experience in providing analytics & metrics on team performance. Experience leading a team of 2-5 engineers preferred. Agile management experience preferred.
