Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk, entry level.
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain financial accuracy and provide exceptional service to our franchise locations.
On-going training and direction will be provided by our highly qualified accountants and finance team.
Responsibilities & Skills Required The Accounting Clerk is a vital member of the finance team responsible for managing the company's outstanding invoices and ensuring timely payment from customers.
Must have experience with Excel.
VLOOKUP and Pivot tables is a PLUS This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Your primary duty is to track and record all incoming payments accurately.
You will be responsible for generating invoices, sending them to customers, and following up on any outstanding balances.
This involves maintaining an updated database of customer information, tracking payment deadlines, and sending reminders or past-due notices when necessary.
In addition to invoicing and payment tracking, the accounts receivable clerk plays a crucial role in reconciling discrepancies and resolving payment issues.
You will be expected to investigate and resolve any discrepancies or errors, ensuring that all payment information is accurate and up to date.
This may involve collaborating with other departments to address customer concerns and resolve outstanding payment issues in a professional and timely manner.
Another essential aspect of this role is maintaining proper documentation and financial records.
You will need to organize and maintain detailed records of all invoices, payments, and correspondence with customers.
This includes accurately recording financial transactions, updating customer accounts, and generating periodic reports for management review.
To excel in this role, strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
You will interact with customers, internal stakeholders, and external vendors on a regular basis.
You should possess excellent customer service skills, as you will be required to address inquiries, clarify billing details, and resolve disputes professionally and courteously.
Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant tools is required for this position.
